Can Non-Swimmers Go Scuba Diving in Havelock? Yes - Here Is How

This is the question we hear most often, and the answer surprises almost everyone. Yes, non-swimmers can absolutely go scuba diving in Havelock. Not only is it possible, it is something we do every single day at Dive Bar. Here is why.

Why Non-Swimmers Can Scuba Dive

Scuba diving and swimming are two completely different activities. When you are scuba diving, you do not need to swim. The buoyancy of the water and your equipment keeps you at the right depth, and your instructor is right beside you the whole time. All you need to do is breathe slowly and enjoy the view.

How Instructor Support Works

For non-swimmers, every dive at Dive Bar is a true 1:1 experience. Your PADI-certified instructor stays within arm reach throughout the dive. Before you enter the water, there is a 20 to 30 minute briefing where you learn the basics: breathing, hand signals, and what to do if you feel uncomfortable. If at any point you want to surface, your instructor brings you up immediately.

Shallow Water Diving - Comfortable and Accessible

Our non-swimmer dives take place at our most accessible dive sites: shallow reefs with calm, clear water. You will be close to the surface and never in deep open water. The underwater world of Havelock exists right at the shoreline, and there is no need to go deep to see incredible marine life, coral gardens, and colourful fish.

What About Safety?

Dive Bar has guided thousands of non-swimmers safely underwater. We use only professional-grade equipment maintained regularly to international standards. Our instructors are PADI-certified with years of experience specifically working with first-timers and non-swimmers. Your comfort and safety come first, always.

What Is Included?

All non-swimmer dives include: full scuba gear, a personal 1:1 PADI instructor, 20 complimentary underwater photos plus a 2-minute video, and a full pre-dive briefing in shallow water.

Pricing

Non-swimmer scuba diving at Dive Bar starts from Rs 5,000 for a shore dive. The Discover Scuba Diving (1:1 instructor with PADI certificate) starts from Rs 5,500.
